Nominate Timber Therapy
Use the QPS Self Referral process to nominate Timber Therapy as your approved provider. Your eligibility and session allocation is confirmed directly through the program.
Timber Therapy is an approved provider under the Queensland Police Service referral pathway for members who want confidential counselling outside the workplace. Sessions are practical, rostered around shift work, and available in Stafford or online.
Who This Is For
How It Works
Use the QPS Self Referral process to nominate Timber Therapy as your approved provider. Your eligibility and session allocation is confirmed directly through the program.
Once approved, get in touch to schedule your first session at a time that fits around shift work. In-person and online appointments are both available.
Sessions focus on whatever is most pressing — stress, sleep, relationships, exposure to critical incidents, or maintaining long-term wellbeing in a demanding role.
Sessions are held outside the QPS workplace. Notes are kept privately; only program-required acknowledgements are shared with the program administrators.
The work is practical and confidential — supporting shift work, exposure, family strain, and the long arc of a policing career without requiring you to explain yourself inside the organisation first.
Sessions are available at the Stafford rooms or via secure online video — useful for shift work, regional postings, or travel.
Once your self-referral nominates Timber Therapy and approval is confirmed, we book around your roster. For privately funded sessions outside the program, see referral, funding and fees.
